Inspect, plan, set up, mask, and perform thermal spray coating on aerospace components to meet production and engineering requirements.
Perform masking and grit blasting to prepare aerospace components for thermal spray coating.
Monitor spray parameters, adjusting flow rates and spray speeds using judgment and experience to ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards.
Use various instruments to measure incoming and final coating thickness after plasma spray.
Perform TPM check on machines
Operate multi-coat and 9MC plasma systems to apply Plasma, HVOF, Flame, and TAFA coatings on aviation components, troubleshoot equipment and replace spray gun parts as needed to maintain optimal performance.
Learn and operate other shared services operation such as water jet, shot peen and glass bead peening operation
Update plasma logbook and prepare lab coupon submission form
Follow all work instructions, safety protocols, and quality regulations specific to the aerospace industry.
Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area
Complete production paperwork and systems transactions
Operate stackers to safely transport heat treat fixtures, chemical containers, waste IBC tanks, coolant/oil drums, and blasting media on pallets within the facility.
Job Requirements:
Minimum diploma in engineering, preferably in Aerospace or relevant certificates
At least 3 years of working experience in the aviation industry as a full fledge technician
Mechanically and electrically trained on aircraft systems
